I have current RB Mac, want to test on Windows...

Hi...I"m a new personal RealBasic user, I have the now current version
for the Mac OS. I'm mostly developing for the Mac, but was curious
early on how the "build for Windows" would work. A couple of weeks ago,
I made a quick build and was delighted to discover all seemed to work
on Windows as it did on the Mac (exactly what it should do.) That app
was limited to only work for 5 minutes or so. That was fine, as I only
wanted a quick check and 5 minutes was more than enough.

Anyway, now, a couple of weeks later, after further dev of the app on
the Mac, again, I figured I'd take a quick look at it on the PC...but
this time, after a VERY long time getting the app to even start, a
message popped up that the app had expired and couldn't be started. Is
that right? Is there a workaround?

I know my license only covers developing software on the Mac (and
that's all I'm doing), but I thought I could easily at any time take a
5-minute version to the PC for a quick test. Am I doing something
wrong? Can I merely rename the app or something to give me another
quick look?

Thanks!

IMO, your best bet would be to find someone whose license allows them to
compile for Windows and get *that* person to compile it for you.

I had the same problem with a RB database application I was testing on
Windows. The problem with it going slow turned out to be the result of
it running off a USB stick.
When I copied the whole Application folder (including the database and
DLL files) to the hard disk it ran at normal speed.
